First, Lakeside is a Chicago-based community bank with all the capabilities of any mortgage bank or broker. All the underwriting, processing, closing and funding is done in Chicago where I work closely with my colleagues to resolve issues quickly. This is a huge advantage when compared to working with a huge bank with wide-spread national operations and no communications. Unlike many banks, we use only local appraisers who live in your neighborhood.

Second, Lakeside has all the products and capabilities of a national mortgage bank such as FHA, conforming, jumbo loans and home equity lines of credit. Lakeside is a large lender in Lincoln Park, Lakeview, Old Town, Northcenter, Wrigley, South Loop, Andersonville, River North, Streeterville, West Loop, Westtown, and Ravenswood.

As a Georgetown University graduate and former investment banker, Jim has an extensive network in Chicagoland and beyond so that he can refer experts to his clients whether they be in the areas of real estate, finance, or the local community. Jim contributes his time to the community and profession by volunteering as:

  • Treasurer and Board Member of the Lincoln Park Chamber of Commerce
  • Former Treasurer of the Homebuilders Association of Greater Chicagoland
  • Thirty-year volunteer, Chicago region Chairman and Board of Advisors member of the Georgetown Alumni Admissions Program

In his spare time, Jim volunteers as a local and regional leader of the Boy Scouts of America. Jim earned his Eagle Scout as a youth and both of his sons have earned their Eagle Scout.
